- Grew up in Connecticut listening to Notre Dame sports on the radio since his dad was a Notre Dame graduate and was always enthralled with numbers and stats
- Didn’t have any intentions of pursuing a career in sports information as he had plans to work on the stock exchange floor
- His dad had a chance meeting with Roger Valdiserri, SID at Notre Dame which eventually led Tim to be an intern while a student at Notre Dame
- Opportunity at Clemson came available under Bob Bradley and Tim was hired where he helped cover all sports at Clemson

- Greatest athlete at Clemson in his opinion is CJ Spiller
- Tim embraced the evolution of social media because it gave the other non-revenue sports a way to self-promote
- His job can be challenging today as he has to balance the need for media access to coaches and players versus the protection of privacy
- Words of Wisdom from Tim Bourret: “Align yourself with a school, don’t align yourself with a coach or someone you work with.” Received from Roger Valdiserri about his career in sports information
