- Rich Spotlight: Irving Roland
- Grew up in Oklahoma City and football was his favorite sport to watch growing up because of the popularity of football in the southwest
- Comes from a family that loves sports
- Primed for a big senior season in high school until he suffers a broken leg at the Pump Brothers camp in Los Angeles where he was fouled on a fast break dunk
- Spent 2 years at Carl Albert State College and then continued college career at Southwestern Oklahoma St. University
- Connected with Dave Hopla in Chicago who helped him secure an unpaid internship with the Boston Celtics as an Assistant Video Coordinator which led to him being hired by the New Orleans Hornets
- Eventually, he would move on to the Phoenix Suns and then founded Blueprint Basketball in Miami in 2011 for off-season training for some of the top NBA talent
- Now works with the Houston Rockets and is the personal player development coach for James Harden
- He believes that sports allows you to learn who you are and how you can handle adversity
