- Rich Spotlight: Allisha Gray
- Finishing up her degree from South Carolina this May 2018 in Broadcast Journalism
- Slowly becoming more interested in being in front of the camera after her playing days are over
- Played basketball and softball growing up in Sandersville, GA
- Inspired by both her older and younger brother and competed against them in almost everything
- Her family is very important to her and has always been there supporting her and her dad is the high school principal in Sandersville
- Suffered a serious knee injury during her Senior year and she struggled to stay positive but her family and support network motivated her to work even harder to come back
- Having to sit out after transferring from North Carolina to South Carolina was difficult but allowed her to see the game from a different perspective
- Winning the National Championship was surreal but she didn’t have much time to celebrate as she had to make a quick decision to enter the WNBA draft and forego her final year of eligibility
- Selected 4th overall by the Dallas Wings
- One of her favorite memories is her first WNBA game and having to guard one her idols growing up, Diana Taurasi
- Earned WNBA 2017 Rookie of the Year
- Words of Wisdom from Allisha Gray: “Be yourself, stay the course, and stay inspired to do what you want you to do and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something.”
