- Rich Spotlight: Travis Blanks
- Travis has remained in Clemson, SC now working with the Block C Club because Clemson feels like home
- Grew up in Fort Myers, FL before moving to Tallahassee, FL and played on the same Pop Warner football team with Sammy Watkins
- Football and track were his two primary sports and was ranked 3rd in the state of Florida for the hurdles
- A pivotal moment in life was being able to attend North Florida Christian School
- He was not a fan of one particular NFL team, however, Sean Taylor was a player that he would strive to be like on the field
- As he looks back on his recruitment, it is sometimes surreal to think that coaches like Les Miles, Nick Saban, Jim Tressel, and Dabo Swinney were calling him
- Some of the toughest games at Clemson were against Notre Dame, Louisville and even NC State
- Would have been content with a loss to LSU in the Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl in 2012 because he knew they gave it everything they had
- Still thinks about the loss to Alabama in the national championship game because of breakdowns in the game but does not dwell on the loss
- Knows God has a plan for his life and has been able to move forward even though he wasn’t able to fulfill his dream of playing in the NFL due to 2 ACL tears while at Clemson
- Believes that sports can help shape your perspective in life and so many traits can be instilled in each person from sports that are applicable in life
