Rashard Hall | Clemson Football Director of Professional & Career Development

Show Notes:

  • His discipline can be traced back to his parents growing up in St. Augustine, FL
  • Saw first hand from friends that did make it by listening to wise counsel and ones that didn’t because they didn’t listen to wise counsel
  • Loved basketball early because his dad played basketball at FAMU and had a brief stint in the NBA
  • First time he played football he knew he was hooked
  • Florida St. was his college team growing up but no major Florida schools offered him so it was motivation for him whenever he played those schools
  • Recruited solely to play Safety at Clemson even though other schools recruited him as a WR as well
  • Prefers to use the term scholar-athlete instead of student-athlete because they will be a scholar the rest of their lives
  • Believes that sports can create unique bonds with people that is very hard to replicate anywhere else
  • Knew that working with Clemson Football and the PAW Journey (Passionate About Winning) was the place for him because it’s about serving the player’s hearts and not just their talents
  • Words of Wisdom from Rashard Hall: “Be different to make a difference.”
